A new service on the Teleroute freight exchange for users to exchange transport documents when making deals
Brussels, December 11, 2012 – Teleroute, a leading European online freight exchange, now offers a new service: Document Upload, which allows customers to easily share documents needed for confirming deals or selecting a partner on the freight exchange platform.
Document Upload – go paperless!
Before closing a business deal with an unknown party, the Teleroute users can find documentation about a potential new business partner in their Transport Company Directory: the verification level, the STAR index, the acceptance of the Code of Conduct… All these tools were developed by Teleroute as part of its Safe Market Place (SMP) programme to make sure the freight exchange community is built on trustworthy business partners.
The new Document Upload feature allows users to upload and share on the Transport Company Directory documents needed for confirming deals or selecting a partner on the Teleroute freight exchange. Documents can include quality or audit certificates, transport insurance and licenses, among others, all safe and accurate as the documents include an expiry date and are watermarked by Teleroute against counterfeiting.
“Delivering documentation can be very time consuming. With Document Upload now, when agreeing on a deal with a new partner, there is no need to send all transport, insurance and other legal documents by fax or email anymore. Everything is safely stored and available there once and for all. All documents are in one place to save the precious time of our customers and allow for quicker decision making,” said Filip Aerts, Chief Marketing Officer of Teleroute.
This initiative is part of Teleroute’s continuous efforts and commitments regarding safety to make its freight exchange an even safer market place, which is the objective of the SMP programme. For more background on SMP, Teleroute has published videos and a White Paper to explain the programme in more detail
Search engine improvements
On top of this new service, Teleroute is making the search functionality on its platform even more powerful with new fields to narrow search criteria on the freight exchange and help customers find freights even more easily. They can now search specifically for a van, tail lift or pallet. This means freight carriers can find freight suitable for their vehicles more easily, while freight posters can make their freight more easily identifiable and avoid dealing with offers that don’t match the freight or vehicle.
